Every summer, just as internships wrap and KWEST winds down, Kellogg leaders pack their bags (and passports) for one of the school’s most beloved traditions: Yacht Week. In 2025, the purple wave split in two directions—one crew sailing the Adriatic along Croatia’s coast, and another one week later charting their own “Alt(ernative)-Yacht Week” through Turkey’s Aegean. Two coasts of the Mediterranean, and one highly-anticipated Kellogg tradition.
Kellogg Takes Kroatia

On August 30th, 532 Kellogg students took over Croatia for Yacht Week - or as we’d like to call it “Kellogg Takes Kroatia”—a weeklong voyage through the Adriatic. Orchestrating an event of this scale was no easy feat but 2Y '26ers Raj Dwivedi, Natalie Kimmel, Jacob Cohen, Joe Touma, and Caroline Shaunessy pulled it off flawlessly—balancing internships, KWEST leadership, and even bridesmaid duties.
“It was like creating a whole trip from scratch—everything from figuring out how to collect payments in dollars and convert them to euros, to deciding the fairest way to assign yachts. But it was hands down my favorite extracurricular project at Kellogg,” said Joe.
From push-up competitions in Bol (congrats to Jerry Song, the undefeated yacht week push-up Champion), to the tunnel raft party in Vis, to the glow of the White Party at Fort George and the gorgeous Tequila Sunset Party at Carpe Diem, every stop delivered its own flavor.

In classic b-school fashion, some boats even found themselves bartering water for alcohol after running out mid-sail, a reminder that Advanced Negotiations really does pay off. Natalie and Joe even flexed their negotiation skills (learned from Professor Medvec the previous quarter), as they recalled using the MESO structures to negotiate better venues for the parties, better payment terms and even bringing the prices down by 50% from the original quotes. All for an unforgettable week of Kellogg's (very mini) semester-at-sea in the Adriatic!
Turkey: The Alt-Crew
A week after the Kellogg fleet set sail in Croatia, eleven Kellogg leaders chose a quieter but equally unforgettable route: Alt-Yacht Week along Turkey’s Aegean coast. Starting in Bodrum and ending in Mersincik, their days filled with snorkeling, Turkish baths, unmarked hikes, and goat ice cream. Nights onboard brought Monopoly Deal marathons, trivia, and even a murder mystery dinner planned by Rishab Jain 2Y '26.

Highlights included a stop at Asarcık Winery, where generous pours and stories from the owners reminded the group how connected even remote places can feel. None of it would have happened without Ritikaa Iyer 2Y '26, who took on the challenge of planning the trip and successfully pulled together eleven near-strangers into one unforgettable week at sea. By the end, the strangers who boarded in Bodrum had become a crew complete with routines, inside jokes, and an honorary “boat grandpa,” Mr. Levant, making sure no one went missing.
Whether it was the Kellogg fleet in Croatia’s Adriatic or the Alt-Crew’s intimate adventure in Turkey’s Aegean, Yacht Week 2025 proved once again that Kellogg knows how to close out a summer. Here’s to the iced lattes, spritzes, push-ups, and sunsets that made 2025’s Yacht Week a trip to remember. Until next year!
